Picture Match

Cut a large piece of felt and staple it to a large bulletin board, low enough for the children to reach. Write the alphabet on the felt with a permanent marker. Cut out, color and laminate pictures representing each letter. Attach Velcro to the back of each picture. Children can hang the pictures on the felt so that each letter has a picture attached.

Color Tray

Cut a piece of white contact paper to fit the bottom of a cookie sheet or tray. Use permanent markers to divide the contact paper into sections and color each section a different color. Put the tray in the math center along with collections of items to sort by color (such as milk jug lids, marker lids, teddy bear counters, etc.)
