Hand washing Steps

Have picture cards of the steps for hand washing. Have two sets and turn them all over on the table. Play a memory game until all the cards are found. Ask who has the first step for hand washing. As the cards are named line them up in order from first to last step. Talk about the hand washing steps. Then have every child demonstrate hand washing for you.

Body Twister

Prepare enough small colored circles so that each child has one of each color. Lay all of them randomly on the floor. Say one of the colors and tell the children how you want them to move as they make their way to one of those colors. For example: say "everyone slide to a green circle". Continue to say colors and movements -- the sillier the better -- as you watch them for good coordination and balance.
